I'm in an interesting situation where I'm working on a remote PLC. I have access to the PLC, but not the VFDs on the PLC's local network. It is not really an issue that I can't talk directly to the VFDs from inside RSLogix Studio, since they are already setup and good to go as long as the PLC knows how to talk with them. So, when I pull the code down with an 'upload', I get errors that the drives are not in my local EDS database. The issue is, I can't add them to my database, because allen bradley doesn't have versions new enough on their site as what the customer has in use currently. 'Drive 1' uses the v10.002 definition file. The latest I'm able to get from allen bradley is v10.001. 000A00.eds (PowerFlex 700 VC - 400/480V) 'Drive 2' is a different type, and it uses v5.001.
